Biography of Jack C. Brown

 

Jack C. Brown, 7255 Knollvalley Lane, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, is a Hoosier by birth.  He received an A.B. Degree from Indiana University and a L.L.B. Degree from Columbia University Law School.

Mr. Brown, a veteran of World War II, is married and the father of two children.

In the mid 50's, Mr. Brown was appointed United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana by President Dwight D. Eisenhower as the third youngest of ninety United States Attorneys.  He was re-appointed to a second four-year term but resigned shortly thereafter to return to the private practice of law in association with former United States Senator William E. Jenner.

He is past Commander of the American Legion, Past President and Past District Governor of the Exchange Club and is a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and Phi Delta Theta Social Fraternity Indiana State Bar Association of the Seventh Federal Circuit, American Judicature Society, Lawyers Association of Indianapolis, Lawyers Club of Indianapolis, etc.

Mr. Brown also has been active in the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis Athletic Club, Indianapolis Racquet Club, Highland Golf and Country Club, and various other cultural and social organizations.  He was given the honorary Sagamore of the Wabash award by Indiana Governor Handley.

For many years, Mr. Brown served as a State Director and Vice-President of the Indiana Museum Society, a member of the State Board of Directors of Indiana Child Evangelism Fellowship, a Director of Child Care Foundation of Indiana, Inc., a Director of the Lighthouse mission, a Director of the Southeast Asia Foundation for Evangelism and Education, Inc., Director and officer of the Warren Cox Evangelistic Association, In., and a Director of the Indiana Christian Legal Society.

He is a former Director of Christian Business Men's Committee, USA, and served three terms as Chairman of the Christian Business Men's Committee of Indianapolis.
